![]() I have Energy Drain and Shockwave with me and I usually can burn people with incendiary ammo. ![]() Like previous games this time around I'm trying to use different squad mates for each mission rather than sticking to the two I work best with every time (Tali never did anything my first playthrough of ME1). But that's more spacing and timing than anything.įor this mission in particular I have Garrus and Edi. I've tried spamming the charge and nova tactics and while it sometimes works, too often I'll run into a situation where I use charge and my shields go out before I even can react fast enough to fire a nova to stagger enemies. This gives me a recharge rate of 160% which honestly isn't bad. But only bringing a shotgun along seems foolish so I also have an SMG. I know I have to get out of this mindset but I feel like there's somewhat of an obligation to wield a shotgun if I'm on insanity. The real problems have been in the atrium afterwards, where I'm constantly swarmed and flanked by enemies. I assume you're talking about Grissom Academy as a whole and not specifically Orion Hall. Obviously I can't change my build during this mission but when I eventually beat it I am curious to know what build would be recomended to benefit from this type of playstyle so that I don't die immediately in each encounter. (Shockwave however is kinda finnicky with detonating or setting up explosions), and I have energy drain as a way to take out shields. My playstyle is to attempt to chain as many combos as possible, using incendiary ammo and shockwave mainly. I've specifically given myself only an SMG and a shotgun so I can maximize my powers while still having enough fire power if I use Biotic Charge (though more often than not I'm using Nova or just a melee). I stood out of cover with a turret pointed at me while at full health and full shields and was dead before I could fire a bullet. My only strategy to beating turrets is to just kill the combat engineers before they can deploy them as the turrets melt my health instantly. The real problem comes from the turrets made by Combat Engineers. Then I found out that I could just yank their shields away with Pull. This level has been something else.Īt first the Guardians were a real threat. I at first felt that Mass Effect 3's insanity was significantly easier than the second game because enemies don't all have some form of shield or armor, but then I got to the grissom academy. ![]() Thanks again for helping me with the second game, Insanity is a real pain sometimes. ![]() Just started my second playthrough of Mass Effect 3. ![]()
